  • Vomit Phobia

  • Panic Disorder/ Agoraphobia
  • Social Anxiety
  • Worry
  • Depression
  • Relationship Problems
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Chronic Health Problems
  • Eating Disorders
  • Trauma
  • Difficulties experienced by people who are on the Autistic Spectrum

I  specialise in treating mild to complex OCD , BDD and other Obsessional Disorders with young people from age 12 to older adults. I worked for 5 years within The Highly Specialised Service team in The priory Hospital North London providing intensive CBT for clients with a range of complex Obsessional Disorders. I  provided therapy for these clients on both the Adult ward and The Adolescent Unit.

Whilst working at the Priory North London I also managed an Eating Disorders Team and gained a great deal of experience working with young people and adults with different eating disorders often involving providing some supportive family therapy work.

I have continued to work with people with eating disorders in my private practice and provide a treatment package with a specialised Eating disorders Nutritionist.

I have training and experience in working with young people from age 12 with a range of different problems and will always include the family and carers within the therapy to offer guidance in supporting the young persons difficulties.

I find that young people can often develop distorted and negative beliefs about themselves and CBT can help confront and modify these distortions and help them to learn to interpret their environment differently.

Sessions will focus in helping young people to cope in the here and now with problems such as :

  • Reducing school phobia and other phobias
  • Transition to change ie  Starting secondary school/ University
  • Trauma
  • Social Anxiety
  • Friendship difficulties
  • Exam anxiety
  • Depression
  • Obsessional Disorders

I also have a special interest and experience of working with young people who are on the  High function Autistic spectrum. CBT  helps the young person to identify and regulate overwhelming feelings and thoughts with the aim of becoming more able to manage low mood, Anxiety and  impulsive and repetitive obsessional behaviours.

I use compassion focussed Therapy, Mindfulness and Problem solving skills within my CBT practice to help young people to develop and maintain skilful ways to manage anxiety provoking life transitions .
